About Us
The Maryland Expressive Arts Therapy Committee is a partnership between the the MD/DC/VA Chapter of the American Dance Therapy Association, The Maryland Association for Music Therapy, the Maryland Art Therapy Association and the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama.
Our Goals
Our goals are to learn from one another through collaboration, strengthen and build alliances, and nurture ourselves in our practice of creative arts therapy.
Our Conferences:
In February 2014 we held our very first collaborative conference in Sykesville, MD. We hope to continue this conference as an annual event to foster a sense of community between all expressive arts therapists in Maryland!
The 2015 conference will be held on February 28th at Springfield Hospital Center: 6655 Sykesville Rd, Sykesville, MD 21784. We hope you'll join us!
The conference will begin with a continental breakfast and registration opening at 8:30, with the conference running from 9-5:30 pm. We hope to see you all there!
The Maryland Art Therapy Association has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, # 6691. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Maryland Art Therapy Association is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
